According to the characteristics of aluminum profile materials and processing technology, this kind of processing center generally has the ability of milling groove, drilling, tapping, etc. And the functions such as milling plane/surface, facer hole, boring hole are rarely used in aluminum profile processing. Due to the unique characteristics of the processing objects, the design of aluminum profile machining center from structural layout, technical parameters to numerical control system is very different from the general machining center.

1) large longitudinal stroke

In order to adapt to the characteristics of slender aluminum profile parts, the table of CNC machining center of aluminum profile is mostly of narrow and long shape.

The machining center equipped with A axis (rotating around X axis) can complete the machining of three sides of aluminum profile.

2) high spindle speed

The maximum speed of the spindle of general machining center is generally below 8000rpm. The maximum speed of the main shaft of aluminum profile processing center can reach or even exceed 18000rpm. Due to high rotating speed, an integrated permanent magnet synchronous electric spindle is generally adopted. This spindle integrates the functions of tool clamping, air cleaning and circulating water cooling. The cooling system of machining center is divided into two forms of pouring cooling and spray cooling. The latter belongs to the more advanced concept of quasi-dry cutting and micro lubrication system (MQL), with high cooling and lubrication efficiency and less cooling fluid consumption, especially suitable for aluminum profile processing.
